1 Write the numbers one below the other, aligning the ones, tens, and hundreds digits.
2 Start from the right side (ones digits) and add the digits in each column.
3 If the sum in a column is greater than 9, write the ones digit and carry 1 to the next column (carry over).
4 Repeat the process for each column, remembering to add the carry from the previous column.
